Trevor’s Liquor [April 2023]

Now before you go and say that Trevor’s Liquor doesn’t sound like a winery or wine bar… let me tell you that it’s not!! Haha!! This is another establishment that I’m not 100 percent certain how I came across it. I think I may have seen something about it and wine on Facebook. So, I went to check it out on my own and when I pulled into the parking lot it really did look just like your average liquor store. However, when I walked in I was pretty impressed. First glance to the left, yes… there was a liquor store. Rows and rows of wine and everything other spirit you can imagine, but please look right with me!! Let's start with the tasting counter with a beautiful glass chandelier hanging above.

Further on the right side, behind the tasting counter there were several glassed in rooms with doors. One was a giant temperature-controlled wine room, displaying wine bottles of all kinds. [mostly on the high-end side... really high end] the next room was like a big humidor cabinet. I do not think I’ve ever seen so many cigars in my life. I do not smoke them myself, but I do enjoy the smell of a good one. I had to go in and at least check it out, it was actually pretty incredible!! Then the third and the largest room was the smoke room; it was kinda set up like a sports bar with sofas, lounge chairs and TV's that opened into the smoke patio. Then there are a couple ways to enter into the restaurant and bar area that includes an amazing outside patio.

Did I mention they also have several virtual golf bays!? You can rent them and have your drinks and tapas while "golfing" at any one of 100 different well known golf courses from around the country!! You can see from the first photo that I thoroughly enjoyed my first visit. The charcuterie and wine were both very wine bar worthy. I love finding new places that merit a revisit, to take a wine friend or four!! Haha!! Once I find such a place, I usually like to sign up for their newsletters so I can stay in the know about upcoming sales and events. That is how I found out about the Dou wine tasting event with the wine maker. I was in desperate need for some one-on-one time with one of my wine besties, so I asked Aimee [seen above] to accompany to me.

Trevor Phillips, owner of Park Plaza Liquor & Deli teamed up with Jeff McDonald a restaurant manager veteran to create the concept of Trevor’s Liquor. Scottsdale was the flagship location of their high-end bottle store, bar, and entertainment combination. They want every visit to be an extraordinary journey offering a unique experience of indulgence and leisure. A place to sip, savor, eat, play, and smoke. Plus, they are 100% dog friendly, which makes it a great spot to meet up with my furry friends. [and their rents… LOL] You can see my girls Hannah and Ruby above!! You should know Hannah is the human, but just in case you didn't... Hahaha!! Ruby is such a sweet girl and so well behaved, as long as Hannah is within her sight!!

Trevor and Jeff have since opened several other Trevor’s Liquor entertainment stores, that what I'm calling it anyway since it is pretty entertaining. The new locations are South Scottsdale, Arcadia, and Paradise Valley. So, I hope you can see that even though technically Trevor's is not a winery or wine bar, it definitely deserved a mentioning!!
