Enumclaw Wine Walk

As if I didn’t love this little town enough... the Enumclaw Chamber of Commerce goes and hosts a town wine walk!! They did such an amazing job putting it all together [I mean this was only my first town wine walk but... Hahaha] and I had such a fabulous time!! Of course, I had to purchase the VIP ticket!! It was a little more than the general admission ticket, but I felt like I totally needed all "swag" that came in the VIP Bag!! LOL [see photo below] I loved their marketing slogan... "Visit historic Downtown Enumclaw and taste some of the PNW’s finest wines” it really was just that simple.
I started the wine walk at the one end of town, at my favorite little Bordeaux Wine Bar!! The exclusive VIP experience, with live music was going to be taking place here as well!! So, I started at Bordeaux and planned to end there too!! Not only were all the wineries in town open and serving wine, but they were also serving tastes of wine in some of the other local shops!! So, I got to visit more stores that I haven't been to yet, maybe even ones that I wouldn’t normally shop in!! It was so fun and I love supporting local!!

I found The Sequel, a cute little bookstore on the corner. They were not serving wine here, but I love to read [almost] as much as I love tasting wine, so I had to stop in!! You will never believe what was happening!! There was a local author from Enumclaw by the name of K.A. Miltimore hanging around inside the store. She had stopped in to promote her newest book and greet the community. I had to meet her, get her to autograph and buy her first book!! [a selfie too.. LOL] K.A. writes mostly mystery books with an added touch of paranormal and fantasy.
I have never met an author of a book I was reading [or getting ready to read] in person before, so it was really cool!! [nerd alert.. hahaha] The book she signed for me is called "Burned to a Crisp" and it is about a very interesting local baker and the strange things that happen in her shop. The setting for the books is in the little town of Enumclaw!! It was totally awesome to read books and actually recognize the spots and local streets she mentioned. I have started following her on her socials so I can keep an eye out for what she's working on.

It was such a beautiful day to walk around town and meet all the local shop owners!! I felt so special with my swag. I thought it was hilarious to see all the signs around that said "No wine in the streets" when there was wine, literally everywhere in the streets!! Hahaha I saw so many interesting and fun wine paraphernalia like this sign.. "Money can't buy happiness but it can buy wine and that's kinda the same thing" LOL!!
I was excited to get to the last stop, as I mentioned earlier it was my favorite Bordello, [if you read last weeks mention, hahaha] I mean Bordeaux Wine Bar!! Plus, I had insider knowledge about the special they were going to be offering... I mean I was one of the original taste testers!! Y'all up for a champagne float!? After a warm day of walking around in the sun, this cold treat was the best ending to my spectacular day!!

Oh, I did end up going back a little later on for an evening of live music. I wasn't too hungry for that mac and cheese I was planning to gobble up, but I just really wanted to hang out and enjoy the local ambiance.
Next week Wine with Wixy will be visiting The Shed!! I can thank Shawn and one particular hot air balloon flight for helping me to find yet another little wine bar completely by accident!! HA!!
Cheers to you my wine loving friends, and TTFN!!
